ABOUT

LeBistro Coffee is a boutique coffee roaster which has been supplying freshly-roasted coffee beans to a number of coffee outlets in Penang since 2002. It is a member of a much larger group of coffee manufacturer with over 60 years of history.
LeBistro started when a group of coffee lovers, who were utterly disappointed with the quality of coffee available in Penang, decided to share the cost of importing an expensive coffee roaster from Diedrich Manufacturing in the United States and started their own coffee roasting adventure. Coffee beans from all over the world were imported and roasted to perfection and supplied mostly to outlets owned by these coffee connoisseurs. The years of experience in dealing with green coffee beans has allowed LeBistro to be finally given the required Approved Permit (AP) for direct importation of green coffee beans into Malaysia.
With the proliferation of chain coffee stores over the last 10 years, many coffee drinkers in Malaysia begin to acquire the taste for better, but significantly more expensive coffee. Because of the price per cup, which often exceeds RM 10, these types of refined coffee are not affordable for everyday consumption. Most days, coffee drinkers in Malaysia will still have to contend with consuming 3 in1 premixed coffee, or the ubiquitous sugary brew called Kopi-O at local coffeeshops.

LeBistro is of the belief that good quality coffee does not have to be expensive, and should be made available for everyday enjoyment. With that belief in mind, LeBistro began working on its plan to introduce its range of affordable but first-class lifestyle coffee designed specifically for home consumption. In order to compress the supply chain and lower the ultimate cost to consumers, LeBistro lifestyle coffee is only available for purchase online or through selected few specialty retailers.
The first product we have introduced is our freshly-roasted Sumatra Arabica coffee beans. It can be prepared at home with a French Press following a few simple steps for a perfect cup of coffee at less than 65 sen a cup! We have chosen Sumatra Arabica as it has a taste profile which suits most coffee drinkers in Malaysia. We took care to roast the beans only upon order, thereby ensuring that our customers get to enjoy the freshest home brewed coffee at all time. As we go along, we will be introducing roasted beans from all over the world, including those from Brazil, Columbia, Ethiopia, and perhaps even the rare and highly sought after beans from Jamaica Blue Mountain!
For the busy executives who simply don’t have the patient to sit through any brewing process, we will also be rolling out a range of premium white coffee, made with the best available natural ingredients and containing no additives and artificial flavouring. We want to make sure that our customers can safely enjoy their regular caffeine lifts without worrying about consuming chemicals!
The beneficial effect of consuming caffeine on a moderate scale is well-known, and daily drinking of quality coffee can indeed promote a healthy lifestyle. Since coffee is consumed on a daily basis, many people are of the belief that its health benefits can further be enhanced with the subtle addition of healthy natural supplements. These supplements typically promote cleansing, detoxification and weight control. We termed these healthy coffee, and will be introducing them to our customers as well in due course.
Drinking coffee is a lifestyle adventure, which has to be discovered, appreciated and shared among friends and family. We hope you enjoy your coffee discovery journey as much as we have in serving you.
